Terms of Service

Last updated · June 18, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of DevLicense — the website at devlicense.com and the DevLicense program (the “Service”), operated from India. By creating an account, enrolling, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

In these Terms, “DevLicense,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the operators of DevLicense, and “you” means the person using the Service.

1.The program

DevLicense is a structured, hands-on engineering program. Enrollment gives you access to the full bundle — L1 (Contributor), L2 (Team Member), and L3 (direct-AI delivery) — delivered over approximately 90 days. You work real tickets in production-shaped codebases, your pull requests are reviewed by our AI Team Lead, and your results build a public, verifiable engineer profile.

We may improve, add to, or adjust program content, tickets, levels, and tooling over time. We will not materially reduce the core program you paid for without offering a reasonable alternative or a refund as described below.

2.Eligibility & your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or 16+ with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
  • You must provide an accurate email address and keep your account details current. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • We use passwordless sign-in (a one-time code sent to your email). Keep access to your email secure — anyone who can read your email codes can access your account.
  • One account per person. Accounts and enrollments are personal to you and may not be shared, sold, or transferred.

3.Enrollment & payment

  • Enrollment is a single payment of the listed price (early-bird ₹12,000 until June 30, 2026; standard rate thereafter). Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We do not receive or store your full card or bank details — those are handled by Razorpay under their own terms and security standards.
  • Your enrollment is confirmed once payment succeeds and you receive a confirmation email. Access to your first ticket is granted on enrollment.

4.Refund & cancellation policy

We offer a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund. If DevLicense is not right for you, you can request a full refund within 30 days of your enrollment (the start of your L1 window) — no explanation required.

  • To request a refund, email hello@devlicense.com from your enrolled email address within the 30-day window. Include your registered email and Razorpay payment reference if available.
  • Approved refunds are issued in full to your original payment method via Razorpay. Processing typically completes within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
  • After day 30, the enrollment is non-refundable and a voluntary drop forfeits any remaining access. This applies in both directions — it is a firm window, not a sliding one.
  • If we are unable to provide the Service due to our own fault, you remain entitled to a refund regardless of the 30-day window, to the extent required by applicable law.

5.Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Share, resell, or transfer your account, enrollment, or program content to anyone else.
  • Submit work that is not your own as if it were, or otherwise misrepresent your results, in a way intended to defraud reviewers or recruiters.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, the AI reviewer, or other users’ data.
  • Submit unlawful, infringing, malicious, or abusive content (including malware or prompts intended to manipulate the AI reviewer into unsafe behaviour).

We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations, as described in section 9.

6.AI review & automated processing

Your pull requests, code diffs, and descriptions are reviewed using third-party AI services (currently Anthropic’s Claude models). By submitting work, you understand that the relevant content is sent to that provider to generate your review. AI reviews are automated assessments and may contain errors; they are provided to help you learn and to build your profile, and are not a guarantee of skill, employment, or any specific outcome.

7.Your content, our content

  • You retain ownership of the original code and writing you submit. You grant us a licence to store, process, display, and review that content as needed to operate the Service and build your verifiable profile.
  • Starter codebases, tickets, rubrics, reviews, the platform, and all DevLicense branding and materials are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative programs from them without permission.
  • Your public profile (e.g. PRs, reviewer scores, and activity you choose to make public) may be displayed publicly and shared via a profile URL. You can ask us to take your public profile offline by contacting us.

8.No guarantee of outcomes

DevLicense is an educational and skills-verification program. We do not guarantee a job, internship, interview, salary, recruiter response, or any particular result. Your outcomes depend on your effort, skill, and factors outside our control. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9.Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where required by law. If we terminate your account for a breach, the refund policy in section 4 still applies on its own terms (i.e. within the 30-day window).

10.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DevLicense and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or opportunity, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the enrollment giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-product. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12.Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law, you agree that the courts located in India will have jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
