Terms of service

These terms govern your purchase and use of DevLicense, operated by DevLicense, Bengaluru, India ("we", "us").

What you are buying

DevLicense is a simulated professional work experience. You are enrolled into a fictional software company, assigned work items, given access to tools, and your work is reviewed. On successful completion you receive a DevLicense credential and a public proof page.

What DevLicense is not

• It is not employment. No employer–employee relationship is created. No salary, stipend, or benefits are paid to you.
• It is not a job guarantee or placement service. We make no promise of interviews, offers, or hiring outcomes.
• It is not an accredited academic qualification.

Your responsibilities

• Your account and access credentials are personal. Do not share them.
• Complete your own work. Passing off another person's work as yours ends your enrollment without refund.
• Do not publish, resell, or redistribute assigned work items, hidden tests, internal documentation, or review content.
• Follow deadlines and platform rules. Work items not progressed within their stated deadlines return to the pool and may be assigned to another participant.

AI tool access

Paid participants receive access to AI coding tools routed through our systems, subject to fair-use limits. Your prompts and transcripts are visible to us and form part of your review. Access may be limited or withdrawn for abuse.

Your work and our content

You retain authorship of code you write. By participating you grant us a licence to host, review, display, and reference your submitted work on your proof page and for platform operation. Our repositories, documentation, work items, tests, and rubrics remain our intellectual property.

Availability and changes

We may modify programme structure, tooling, and schedule. Material changes will be communicated to enrolled participants by email.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including career or employment outcomes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at Bengaluru having jurisdiction.
